Shade Sail Labor Rates
Will include but not limited to the following Scope of work:
Provide the services of a licensed structural engineer to Determine reaction loading of the Shade Sails at the required attachment points at the posts. Provide Structural Engineering calculations (California licensed and sealed) with drawings for all attachment points along with Shade Sail details. Engineering will include design of the posts and their Fabrication and installation of Shade Sail membranes for $2,500.00-$4,500.00 (if required)
Footings: (when applicable)
Concrete footings are designed and Engineered per the UBC/IBC using wind exposure data appropriate for the area. All steel reinforcement of the concrete is designed by a licensed structural engineer and is engineered to resist horizontal and lateral bearing loads. (Labor Rate per Hour charge or up to $1,500.00 EA)
Concrete: (when applicable)
ALL Cement shall conform to ASTM C-150, type I or V. Water Ratio not to exceed .045. ALL Concrete shall be normal weight of 145lbs per cubic foot using hard rock aggregates conforming to ASTM C33 UNO. Where light weight concrete is specified, concrete shall be 110lbs per cubic foot using aggregates conforming to ASTM C330
Welded Connections: (when applicable)
Welded structural steel (heavy gauge) components are made in accordance with AWS D1.198 Light gauge metal is welded in accordance with AWS D1.3.89. All in house welding is done by certified welders in accordance with the UBC/IBC. Continuous Inspection by a Registered Building Inspector is required for ALL Field welding.
Structural Steel Columns: (when applicable)
Structural steel columns are sized according to the structural engineer’s predicted reaction forces and conform to ASTM A53-96 Grade B standards. Pipe columns to conform to ASTM A-53 Grade B, Round Hollow Structural Steel (HSS) ASTM A-500 GR. B Fy = 42KSI. Finish can be galvanized, galvanized/painted, Tnemec/Pinnacle Painted or powder coated. ($1,200.00ea up to 3,000.00ea)
Shade Sail Billing Rates
Working Hours are billed out at $104.00 per hour based on an 8 hour work day Monday through Friday.
Weekend work or Holiday’s are billed out at time and ½ or $156.00 per hour based on an 8 hour work day.
Travel Rates are based on work outside California and are billed on a 24 hour continuance with an 8 hour work day at $104.00 per hour and 16 hours away time at $45.00 per hour (Monday through Friday).
Weekend Travel Rates Travel rates are based on work outside California and are billed on a 24 hour continuance with an 8 hour work day at time and ½ or $1156.00 per hour and 16 hours away time at $45.00 per hour.
Helpers are billed out at $25.00 per hour based on an 8 hour work day Monday Through Friday.
Helpers on Weekend work or Holiday are billed out per helper at time and ½ or $37.50 per hour based on an 8 hour work day.
Helper Travel Rates are based on work outside California and are billed on a 24 hour continuance (Monday through Friday) with an 8 hour work day at $25.00 per hour and 16 hours away time at $10.00 per hour.
Helpers Weekend Travel Rates are based on work outside California and are billed on a 24 hour continuance with an 8 hour work day at time and ½ or $37.50 per hour and 16 hours away time at $10.00 per hour.
DMR reserves the rights to refuse travel during certain Holidays and Change Labor rates without notice. DMR maintains a 6 Hour job Minimum.
